WRAP Northern Ireland

Over 1 million tonnes of waste is generated each year in Northern Ireland.

WRAP Northern Ireland is funded by the Northern Ireland Government to deliver increases in recycling and resource efficiency. To do this, WRAP Northern Ireland delivers a range of support programmes, initiatives and other interventions to help people and organisations reduce waste and recycle more.

These include:

• Services to business
• Voluntary waste reduction agreements, such as the Courtauld Commitment and Halving Waste to Landfill
• Expert support to local authorities and resource management businesses
• Capital investment
• Research, training and identifying best practice
