Opportunities to recover high value materials from WEEE
With increasing concern of the security of a range of strategic raw materials it is important to understand the current recovery activity occurring. The report opposite considers the capacity for recovery of materials from WEEE products.
Building on existing knowledge on the capacity for the recovery of strategic raw materials and understanding the barriers to greater recovery from WEEE products is a key area. The level or awareness of strategic raw materials and there uses amongst the industry remains relatively low and this work aims to raise awareness to the potential issues and the opportunities this presents the industry in terms of recovery.
