There is extensive evidence that organic amendments such as compost can be blended with other materials to manufacture soils, however very little research has been carried out on the use of digestate for this kind of application.
These trials look at whether digestate can be blended with other materials to manufacture or improve in situ soils. The soils created are designed for a variety of end uses including habitat creation, amenity grassland, sports fields, allotments, and woodland.
